10 for 25

A celebration, a recap, and a question... šŸ•µļø

šŸ‘‹Hi, legend!

Thanks for joining me for the 25th edition of The High Performance Brief. It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly three months already. What started out as a quirky little passion project has grown a tiny bit of steam–and certainly tested me at times–but it’s something that I’ve learnt so much from, and enjoyed immensely. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, one of the best things that has come from it is the connection to others (whether new or old friends) who share a passion for self-improvement, and particularly high performance.

The very first edition went to 43 people, and as I send this out today, that number is 144! I have many of you to thank for this–for sharing with friends/family/colleagues, and spreading the word. I’m truly grateful, and I hope you’re all still finding some value from these newsletters. I’m also super thankful to everyone who has provided feedback along the way, whether through conversation, reply email, survey, poll, or any other method! It means a lot, and I take it all on board.

Today I’m revisiting what I believe are some of the most impactful tips, tricks, and reminders that we’ve covered to date. If you’ve joined us more recently, I’d encourage you to head over to thehighperformancebrief.co to catch up on earlier editions. For those who have been here for the ride, you can find links for each one if you need to brush up!

Be alert but not alarmed. Everyone experiences them, but by developing your awareness and implementing some basic strategies, you can minimise their impact.

Something so simple, that can cause so much pain… and the fix doesn’t have to be that hard! Are you one of the ~ā…˜ people that’s affected by this?

TLDR; just because you’re fit and healthy, doesn’t mean that you can just sit down for big chunks of time in between exercise.

I’ll say it again–one of the single most powerful tools/hacks//improvements that I’ve ever found/used. Get some reps in.

šŸŽÆ Flow State

Find that sacred place, where nothing else matters and success is just about guaranteed.

Whether you like it or not, you have two brains–and one has a lot more influence than you think.

Sometimes you should stretch your awareness, instead of always narrowing your focus.

I think I grossly undersold this one, and things are shifting so fast that there’s so much more to talk about since this edition was published… The technology that we have access to is simply mind-blowing. Do yourself a favour and check out some recent youtube videos on ā€˜AI Use Cases.’

Find the calm in the chaos, and watch your performance surpass all comers.

Would you speak to someone else the same way that you speak to yourself? We’re taking it back to the OG High Performance Brief.

Thanks again for joining me on this journey. I hope you have got something out of it. I just have one question:

HOW ARE YOU FINDING THE HIGH PERFORMANCE BRIEF? Are you getting something out of it? Do you have any feedback?!

Okay, I’m sorry, I know that was more than one question, but any and all feedback is welcome—and directly contributes to the future direction of The High Performance Brief. If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate you, and hope that you’re committed enough to hit reply with a few short thoughts!

Thanks in advance.
